Molly was a pet store puppy, but after the pet store let the animals get sick a rescue group from Missouri stepped in and saved them.  From there Molly was adopted by a couple, who obvisously never understood what a wonderful creature they were living with because if they did, they never would have let her go.

Mike was overwhelmed the first time we met Molly, we had recently put our first Boston Terrier, Telly to sleep, so we went home sans Molly.  All that week I had a terrible pain in my stomach.  I knew I wanted Molly to come live with us.  Finally, Mike felt he was ready to love another dog and we went back and got Molly.   We paid $90 for Molly - the best money we've ever spent.

Molly came home with us and immediately made our house a home.  Molly filled our home with antics: she loved to tease Mike, run through the house and eat.  She gave us so many years of love and laughter and she taught us many lessons about life.

Unfortunately, in July of this year our laughter was replaced by tears when Molly was diagonised with Glomerular Kidney Failure.  The day we had to put Molly to sleep was the hardest, sadest day of our lives.  Before our vet came into the room we promised Molly that we would live a life that would make her proud of us.  We hope Thursday Night Suppers is just the start of things we do to make Molly proud.  We may have saved Molly six and half years ago, but really she saved us.

Mike and I know that we never want to forget Molly and Thursday Night Dinners was created out of a conversation we had a few nights after her death.  We were talking about things Molly loved most:  food, parties and people and we decided to create Thursday Night Suppers as a way to combine all those things into a tribute to Molly.  Through this tribute we are able to remember Molly in a way that brings us joy.
