Grandpa's Poem to Molly

Picture
Bacon and hotdogs were her dream
Along with her treats and vanilla ice-cream
She'd sit by my chair at the kitchen table
Just lookin' at me waiting for a nibble
She'd lay in the kitchen big eyes lookin'
Laying on the rug watchin' Grandma cookin'
Then at night she'd hog the bed
And snore so loud she'd wake the dead
She was happy to greet you with a dance and a kiss
And that one thing we will surely miss
She was more than a dog, she was our Miss Molly
She was part of us, she was family
So goodbye to you wobblebut frog-eyed Molly Smith
You won't be forgotten, we still feel your kiss
