Adoptable Tail-Waggers
Since Molly was a rescue dog who brought us more love and laughter than we could have ever hoped for, we decided to create a page dedicated to those tail-waggers who need a loving home. Once a week we'll feature a a dog from a local shelter, pound or rescue group.
Gigi (Penny)
Gigi, renamed Penny, is a rescue dog with MidAmerican Boston Terrier Rescue. Mike and I saw her this weekend and she is a WONDERFUL little Boston. Mike has pretty bad allergies and unfortunately for us he developed a severe rash on his face after about an hour so we thought it was best to keep looking. But for anyone who is looking to adopt a Boston Terrier, Penny is the Boston. She's about five and full of life, energy and love. She loves to play and she loves to rest. She is sweet, good with other dogs, cats and kids. She's almost housetrained. I'd say about 90% there. She was rescued from a puppymill and her foster mom said they think before she came to live with them Penny had never seen grass. This little Boston is remarkable. MBTR's website is www.adoptaboston.com and Penny is listed under the name Gigi. Please check her out! Penny lives in Des Moines, but it's not a bad drive. Mike I live
Peyton
Peyton is a 4-year-old owner surrender. His owner is devastated about giving him up, but the only place she can afford to live is at an apartment complex that doesn't allow dogs. Peyton is housetrained, good with kids, other dogs and cats. He's fostered with Nebraska Boston Terrier Rescue. Their website is http://www.rescueaboston.com/ I'm still having some probelms with the Weebly editor, so as of right now, I'm not able to upload a picture of Peyton. Go to the Nebraska Boston Terrier Rescue's webpage to see a picture of Peyton and get more information about him.
9-23-09 Hamilton - PENDING
Hamilton is a real cutie. He was one of six dogs rescued from a breeder. All the dogs had Demodex Mange, the worst cases the Nebraska Boston Terrier Rescue, Inc. as ever seen. Demodex Mange is a parasitic infestation of the skin of animals. Jennifer, from NBTR, says he's super sweet and he's housetrained! If you can't make it to Omaha, NBTR will transport your adopted Boston to you. To check out Hamilton and the other Bostons, visit NBTR at www.rescueaboston.com
